Description

When I did this, it was deemed unfinished and in progress. Seeing as I don't think I'll be finishing it, I'll leave it in the gallery until you folks are done chewing it up and then throw it into scraps. x3

It was based off of the song "The Bird and the Worm" by the Used. I even wrote a small prose thing for it. I'll go get it quickly to put here;

"The Worm and the Bird"
Nayeli A. R.

Picture this; a vision of a giant, almost metallic looking puddle in the middle of the floor of a backstage dressing room. There is a girl and guy in the room at the mirror. They speak of many things; likes, dislikes, hopes, dreams. They think someone spilled something; they don't suspect a thing.

They should notice a black tentacle-like thing appearing out of the "puddle", but do not. They're too busy talking and living the moment of every teen's dream - to be famous. The tentacle grabs her around the ankle, she ambles over cracking her jaw on the floor from impact and you see a vision of her clawing at the floor trying to get away, the guy turning in surprise as if shocked stiff from the sudden change of atmosphere. She is pulled in and it quickly wraps around her tightening immensely, choking and cracking her bones easily - she is tiny and fragile. The guy removes his coat, grabs something resembling a spear and jumps in after her.

He is too late; we watch her squirm with the inability to breath and the pressure on her rib cage is too much for one of her stature. Her head rolls, she first floats upward slightly, then drifts downward. Her free arm drifts half with, half against the soft current and the guy is reaching for it. He is unable to go any deeper from the pressure and loses the most important thing in his life; his little sister.

The tentacle tightens a final and fatal time dementing her proportions. She is then ripped down into the black of whatever has her.

She lost her life; he lost his world.

Very depressing, I know. I can't remember whether this was when Shawn was alive or not...I think it was after his death. Though, the idea had most likely been washing through my mind before then.

Ideas can go for quite a while before I do anything about them. :/

The colouring of this is swirling through my mind now...but we'll see about it...
